When the Stars Are Right
09:37
|
|||
Ph'nglui mglw'nath Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
Dreaming, undead
The Lord who lies in waters
Alien entity
Gifted with telepathy
Revelations through dreams
Plotting for vengeance underneath
Transformation
Beyond recognition
Annihilation
Spawn's invasion
Sending visions to the chosen
Communicating with the anointed
His voice from the sea
Saith unto me:
When the Stars Are Right
When the Stars Are Right
Occultation
Locked up for generations
He calls up mortals
to build his cult
He will reclaim his old domain
We will relish in blood once again
Cruel master
The world will fester
Exist to serve
The will of the Lord
You should be delighted to take part
In setting this world alight
His voice from the sea
Calls relentlessly:
When the Stars Are Right
Terror, death and plight
will rule the earth...
[Snippets from The Call of Cthulhu story]
The cult which have never died.
This was that cult.
That cult would never die until the stars came right again.
Hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world.
Until the time when the great priest Cthulhu
From his dark house in the mighty
city of R'lyeh under the waters
should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.
Someday he would call when the stars where ready
and the secret cult would always be waiting to liberate him
Cthulhu, priest of the ancients
We wait for the Stars to align
For you, o ungodly monstrosity
To bless humankind with insanity
The secret priests would take great Cthulhu from His tomb
to revive His subjects and resume His rule of earth.
The time would be easy to know
for then mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones
free and wild and beyond good and evil.
With laws and morals thrown aside
and all men shouting and killing and reveling in joy.
Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways
to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves
and all the earth would flame with
a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom.
In his house at R’lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming
Supreme elder devil.
Who lived ages before there where any men.
Came to the young world out of the sky.
Hereditary rituals.
Nameless rites and human sacrifices.
Deliberate bloodthirstiness and repulsiveness.
Animal fury and orgiastic licence.
from horribly ancient aeons before ever the world was made.
Infinities of chaos
Build a shrine
and wait for His sign
The time is near
His words, I hear
The curse will be lifted
Reality will be shifted
His voice from the sea
Saith unto me:
When the Stars Are Right
When the Stars Are Right

The Arabian Necromancer
05:06
|
|||
[Lyrics inspired by The Wanderings of Alhazred by Donald Tyson]
Thrown into the desert,
and left therein to rot
Disfigured and defeated,
He gave up on hope
He adopted to the wild,
and lived like a ghoul
With vengeance in his heart,
He chased all things arcane
Alhazred... Roamed
The ruins of old
Seeking... Truths untold
Wicked... Malignant
He obeyed the horrors he evoked
He avenged himself
but could not heal his wounds
He devoted all his life to forbidden sorcery
He knew of the ancients
and learned their secret signs
He revealed their hidden ways
in a cursed tome
The Arabian Necromancer

The Mind Swappers
11:16
|
|||
The Yithians broke the physical chains,
and sent their minds elsewhere...
From the confines of their doomed world,
They changed their destiny
Before the times of humans,
They achieved supremacy on the earth
With their vast knowledge,
They conquered time and space
Their chapter of life on this world
remains unknown except for a few
secret cults in contact with
those ancient beings from beyond
Their godlike wisdom
is reserved to the most dedicated
They swap their minds only
with those they deem to be worthy
Projection of minds
To different times
Masters from Yith
Who ruled the earth
[Snippets from The Shadow out of Time story]
Mankind is only one—perhaps the least—
of the highly evolved and dominant races
of this planet’s long and largely unknown career.
The greatest race of all; because it alone
had conquered the secret of time.
It had learned all things that ever were
known or ever would be known on the earth
through the power of its keener minds
to project themselves into the past and future
even through gulfs of millions of years,
and study the lore of every age.
Knowledge secured through a kind of
mind-casting outside the recognized senses
Defeated by the blind ones,
Their rule was no more...
Escaped into future,
Swapped their minds with those
who will inherit our world
Some still come back to this cursed time(line)
to swap minds with worth humans
From that aeon-distant world, there remained only
parts of the text of the frightful Pnakotic Manuscripts.
The chance joining of memories had at rare times
brought hints of the forbidden past to future ages
There probably never was a time when groups or cults
did not secretly cherish certain of these hints
In the Necronomicon the presence of such a cult
among human beings was suggested
Some still come back to this cursed time(line)
to swap minds with worthy humans
A cult that sometimes gave aid to minds voyaging
down the aeons from the days of the Great Race.
Things of inconceivable shape, had reared towers to the sky
and delved into every secret of Nature
From the accomplishments of this race arose all
legends of prophets, including those in human mythology.
A mind would project itself forward in time,
entering the organism’s brain and setting up
therein its own vibrations
Learning as quickly as possible all that
could be learned of the chosen age
Meanwhile the displaced mind, thrown back to
the displacer’s age and body,
would be drained of all its knowledge by trained questioners.
Their goal is to amass
knowledge (and) to explore what is still hidden...
Pnakotic masters...
Fill our vessels with your presence
Unveil what is hidden from us...
Answer our pleas...
Bless us with your wisdom...
Pnakotic masters...
Fill our vessels ...
